Alpinestars Rugprotectoren-Nuceon KR-2 Back oke Red 1113

The Nucleon KR-2 is an extremely lightweight back protector for the adventurous motorcyclist. If you want to go off-road and cross on your dirt bike, this is the protector you need. The entire protector is made of a well-ventilated fabric that guarantees extra comfort for the wearer. Furthermore, the foam molds to your body contours to create a personalized fit for each individual rider. You can even add a tailbone protector to the Nucleon KR-2 so that you are optimally protected and of course, this back protector is CE level 2 certified.

What does CE level 2 certified actually mean? In 2003, two European standards for CE approved back protectors were created: level 1 and level 2. Without getting into the technical details, these are the important things you need to know about CE level 2. 1. A CE level 2 back protector protects you approximately twice as well as a level 1 back protector. 2. The strength of an impact that reaches the body through a CE level 2 back protector must not exceed 12kN and must average below 9kN. This means that the mass of the impact must not average more than approximately 900kg. This may sound like a lot, but a cm2 of average human bones can normally bear about 1.5 times this weight. 3. Another thing that CE level 2 certified back protectors do is spread the impact so that the 1.337kg per cm2 on bones can hardly be reached if you wear one of the Alpinestars Nucleon series back protectors. Science out.
